The Data Charrette is made possible by the generosity of several organizations and individuals. Utah Valley University, through its Office of Engaged Learning, awarded the charrette a Grant for Engaged Learning, which paid for the food, t-shirts, flyers, and raffle items, including two iPad minis! Thank you, UVU!
datalab.cc, a Salt Lake City startup for data science training, once again provides web support, training materials, computer equipment, logistical support, and raffle items for the Data Charrette. Thank you, datalab.cc!
V School is a standout web development bootcamp in Salt Lake City, with global engagement in Beirut and Ghana. V School has generously shared their bootcamp workspace for the charrette and has contributed to food and logistical support. Thank you, V School!
Everwall has graciously provided access to their beautiful platform that allows the Data Charrette to create live displays of social media posts containing @DataCharrette or #DataCharrette. Thank you, Everwall!
Utah Pride is one of the two fabulous, local nonprofits to partner with Data Charrette this year to provide data and research support. Utah Pride exists to support a thriving LGBTQ+ community in Utah. They describe their mission in these terms: “Utah Pride unites, empowers and celebrates Utah’s diverse LGBTQ+ community by providing a safe and welcoming space for education, partnerships, services and events which advance our collective health, wellness and success.” Thank you, Utah Pride!
Spy Hop is the second of our remarkable nonprofit partners for this event. Their mission is “to mentor young people in the digital media arts to help them find their voice, tell their stories, and be empowered to affect positive change in their lives, their communities, and the world.” In 2015, they were invited to the White House to receive the prestigious National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Award. Thank you, Spy Hop!
